The adjustment directly on the workpiece is possible by simply sliding the pliers handle
Reliable locking of the hinge bolt with the first workload. The gripping width of the pliers is then fixed and can only be adjusted by pressing the button.
To re-activate the sliding function, the hinge bolt must be released by pressing the push button and the pliers must be completely opened again

    The whole line of Knipex Cobras represent the best pliers I have ever found like them, bar none. The quickset feature is nice, and definitely adds something to them, so if you are getting a style where this feature is available, I strongly recommend them. The current Quickset pliers are different than the original version, so if you watch older video reviews, expect them to operate a little differently. The new style only allows rapid adjustment from the fully open position--this prevents slippage in other positions, but it does also mean that they are in a certain way slightly less flexible in application than the original style. That means there is really no obvious drawback of these over the originals too. The only thing I notice different that might not be liked is that they seem to have very slightly looser movement tolerances in some dimensions. I generally doubt that is an issue in application, but it is worth mentioning. I do tend to prefer the comfort grip versions, and I do think the extra corrosion resistance of chrome is nice, but I really love these pliers in their own right as well.

    Better than channel locks.

    My Dad is a lifelong user/believer in channel locks, he's a marine enfineer. As he is getting older/better he's found the strength and toughness of Knipex Cobra to be right up there with channel locks but their slim and lightweight feature makes him grab the Cobra his 'go to' tool. An outstanding product and a joy to use in all types of work.

    These seem to be an improvement in a number of ways over my old traditional tongue and groove pliers. There are many more finer adjustments, ratcheting action for ease of finding your correct size, V-groove to fit a wide variety of materials, and quality steel.
