    Thinner screw/bolt extractors

Posted by Denitson Brisita on May 14th 2022

If you work on any vehicle/machine under a time crunch and you need to get a broke fastener out, just get em. Snapped off a m6 battery hold down bolt, these got it the rest of the way so I didn’t jam it back with those square tapered extractors. Everything cool about Cobras now in screw extractor form. Not insanely different than other screw extractors but the small changes are all improvements. Narrower tip gets you closer to the fastener if it’s close to the matting surface. Smaller tip profile over all, I find it most useful on motorcycle bolts that are recessed into the frame. The button expander allows for these to apply more even, flat pressure to the screw which does improve how easy it comes out. It’s a new product from knipex so that’s sick. Do you need it if you already have screw extractor pliers-No, but they’re still pretty sweet.

Quality of Twin Grip 8" Slip Joint pliers

Posted by David Altman on May 12th 2022

Knipex is the some of the most well made and durable tools. I own tools from just about every tool manufacturer on the market. These pliers I use because of the Jaw design. There are others tools out there with a similar design, but Knipex will last forever. The easy spring load button to change the size of the open is superior. I would suggest the ergo grips vs the thin plastic grip. I am a clock maker and I like the thin plastic grips myself. Your choice. Well made and finished nicely.

    Yes, you need these pliers

Posted by Beau Bieber on May 8th 2022

The feel of all Knipex pliers is amazing, and the twingrips are no exception. The screw extraction tip works so well, you'll giggle every time you think about stripped-out screws and bolts pre-twingrips. Exactly what I expected and more.

The same precision and grip we’ve come to love from Knipex. These feature a versatility other pliers of this design just can’t can’t grasp. Absolutely worth the investment.

    Great pliers

Posted by Big Al on Feb 13th 2022

Just for the weird cut on the end of the jaw alone. I carry a couple pair of vise grips just to do what that design does. Grabbing a bolt or screw by the threads to hold it or back it out if the head shears off. Also thanks to Knipex design, you get three additional spots as opposed to the common slip joint these pliers normally have.
