    Grips need to get a grip.

    I want to preface this review with the fact that I'm very happy with KCTool Co's customer service and I'm going to go into depth why that is in a moment. I bought these cutters initially in February this year. I'm a journeyman inside wireman and my contractor does a lot of industrial work. I spend a lot of time in crappy dusty dirty mills and plants. When I first got these I was impressed with the cutting power, which as remained incredible, and I was happy to see how similar the grips were to my Knipex Cobra pliers. They seemed to be the same material, which has lasted 5 years without failure. However these grips were broken and tearing within 5 months of use, and when pulling on something with my pliers, one grip came off entirely. What a bummer because I love the leverage and the hard cutters that make easy work of aircraft cable even. I used the messenger button while I was at work to ask about a warranty claim and I was so glad I did because a quick 10 minute chat while my partner drove us acrossed the sit led to KCTool sending me a replacement tool free of charge in 2 days. I really hope the grips hold up better on this pair. The design of the head, the lack of flex in the handles and the hardened steel for cutting piano wire have meant less fatigue and easier cuts for me. I really love the design.
