About Rennsteig Tools

Rennsteig was founded in 1959 in Thuringia, Germany, a region with a longstanding tradition of excellence in hand tool design and manufacture. Since 1991 they have been an independent subsidiary of Knipex in Wuppertal, Germany. While continuing their well-known classic products such as striking tools and the dual-edged screw extractor, Rennsteig has pivoted to the production of high-quality crimping, stripping and cutting tools for industry and professionals, many of which are distributed under the Knipex name.
