    This tool has a flat face on the business end, meaning that it comes to a squared-off flat tip rather than a chisel edge. The end is hardened steel, so I expect it to outlast me. The thickness of the metal throughout gives me confidence to use it as a pry bar if necessary, but the sharp corners of the face are where it can be used as a scraper on things that are even smaller than the end of the blade. To be clear, there is no striking cap on the end of the handle, so I won't be hutting it with a hammer.
