A hand sappie, or cant hook, is a small tool with a big impact.
Cant hooks are for use wherever wood is picked up, lifted, stacked or turned.
Ideally suited for splitting firewood and then picking it up and transferring it to the stacking pile.
A cant hook not only saves one's energy but also ergonomically relieves the the back by acting as an extended arm: once the cant hook tip has bitten deep into the wood, then simply lift up the split wood - with no bending down involved.
Especially useful for moving and pulling tree trunks - additional toothing in the blade for extra grip in frozen wood.
