Knipex Forged Wire Strippers, 8" - Plastic Grip

Solid strippers. Well built, sharp, and built in pliers. Very convenient to have in one tool.

Almost all of my hand tools are Knipex and the ones that aren't I am slowly replacing. All my Knipex are of the highest quality and serve above and beyond my expectations. Except these strippers. I am sorry to say I was very dissatisfied the moment I tried using them. The action can only be described as"crunchy‚" when trying to open and close them. It feels like there's an internal spring that is rusty and it makes it difficult to open and close. I have to use two hands to open them wide enough to get wire to pass into the actual cutter portion to make cuts. Possibly a defective pair and I'll change my rating accordingly if I am able to replace it.

I bought these November 12th, 2020 and they are still going strong. I use the same pair every day and they have out preformed every other product I have ever owned. I am a commercial electrician so mine have a lot of miles on them.

Great tool; makes the job easy

Hands down these are the best. Instead of carrying strippers & linesman pliers I can just carry these.

Best combination wire stripping tool on the market! Everyone that uses these seems to really like them!

Very smooth feel, grooves help guide wire into place so you can move faster and keep your eyes on what you're doing. Cut well, both insulation and cable.

Have owned several multi stripping pliers. These are the best yet. Might have to get the comfort grip as well.

These knipex strippers are by far the best hybrid multi pliers I've ever used. They do everything I want them to do and more and extremely smooth. They're sharp, good grip, cut well and they're comfortable

Great tool good price fast shipping

High quality product and meet my expectations. Functions are useful and always help me at jobs.

Razor sharp and typical Knipex build quality.

The Knipex forged wire strippers work very good for stripping wires. They are sharp & should be very durable like other Knipex tools. The wide jaws are very effective for twisting or grabbing & pulling wires & the groove for bending copper wire to wrap around screws works very well. Every electrician needs a pair of these wire strippers. I was in a hurry to get them so I got the plain dipped handles otherwise I would have bought the cushioned handles. Also I think Knipex will eventually release them with their 1000v handles. Maybe I will upgrade to those when available.

While somewhat larger than I prefer in wire strippers, the individual stripping edges have close tolerances and do a good job of stripping wire without cutting the individual strands of wire. The wire cutter is also quite sharp, and the shape of the cutting edge makes easy work of cutting large wire.
