Knipex Automatic Wire Insulation Stripper - AWG 24-10

Very nicely made automatic wire stripper. Consistently cuts the correct length of insulation off every time.

I have only used these for about 4 hours on the job, retrofitting fluorescent fixtures to LED tubes. With 4 tubes per fixture, there were a lot of wires to strip. This stripper was so much faster and easier than my plier-type stripper. Glad I have it.

These seem like a steel at the current sale price. I've been eyeing this style of front strippers for a while and when I came across the Knipex, they just seemed a little bit nicer than the ubiquitous Tool Aid ones the tool trucks rebrand. For one, they reach further than the others, allowing you to get access to wires in recessed areas. Overall a very nice design and quality feel made in Germany. Time will tell how they hold up but, for the time being, color me impressed.

These are the business for making quick work of stripping wires for repair. Working on modern cars requires precision wire repairs and these fit the bill. Easy to use with replacement parts available. Perfect.

I would usually use a pair of knipex pliers to strip ends, but had to create a bunch of custom length cables for a PC build and decided I would pay a little to save my wrist the effort of stripping 100+ ends of 18AWG wire.
This, as expected, is very much the cadillac option, my only regret is not buying it sooner.

I bought this because the blue point one I was using was a little too chintzy. The wire stop wouldn't stay where I wanted it and the ergonomics weren't that great. Knipex goes above and beyond with this tool. A lot of parts move when you squeeze the handle and you can see that the engineering makes it very smooth compared to similar products. It fits in my hand perfectly, the rubber at the palm is a nice touch, the wire stop is easy to use and never slips out of position. The cutter at the top is easy to use too and quite sharp. It saves a lot of time when you are making lots of connections. If it had a crimper on it too I would never put it down.

Ideally suited to repetitive wire stripping. German quality (and made in Germany!). A tool I wish I had had years ago. Also, replaceable cutting blades make this a long-term investment and can be passed on to later generations.

I am an electronics hobbyist that loves to build electronic kits, repair radios and electronic devices, and have done a lot of home wiring for home theater and alarm systems. I have been looking for a great wire stripper for years. This is the very best wire stripper that I have ever used! And I have had many, Klein, Radio Shack, Snap On, and various ones that I cannot remember. Precise, no effort, does not damage the wire. Love it! Get one and you will be happy.

Tested this wire stripper on a variety of wire sizes with consistent good results. I bought this primarily for motorcycle wiring and it will serve that purpose well. The stripper was tested on sizes from22 to 12 guage wire.
