This is a fantastic set of locking pliers. The moveable lower jaw will engage with the face of a fastener rather than the corner, allowing them to apply more force to the fastener without rounding it off. The jaws of the pliers are almost flat, but they do have small ribs that help the pliers grip onto a fastener without biting deeply into its surface. Overall, the construction is strong and heavy, so I think these will hold up to many years of good use.

This is a nice tool. Just like a vise grip plier but the parallel jaws are going to be great for sheet metal/welding work. Also, the oversize release lever is a big improvement over the other style I have.

The finish looks almost like a powder coat. I like the wide release lever.
