Wera 003597 Repair kit for Zyklop ratchet head, 3/8"

This is fantastic. I broke my ratchet head and thought I'd have to buy a whole new ratchet. It's great to see that I can repair it. As good as new. Kudos Wera. What a refreshing change this is from the throwaway culture! Thank you! In case you are wondering, breaking the ratchet was 100% my fault for abusing it, despite knowing better. Don't use it to hold a nut while shaking the other end with an impact driver :-)

I bought this incase head strips in my 3/8 inch ratchet. It has not happened, but at price paid I could not afford not to have backup!

Simple fix for an over worked tool.

It's nice that this comes with everything you need to replace your ratchet head. I had somehow managed to lose one of the screws…must've loosened up and fell out. The only reason not giving it five stars is that the ratcheting action seems a little notchy, like a cheap dollar store ratchet. Still works, just not as smooth as the original. It's almost like the inside is not lubricated or something. Maybe it just needs time to break in. Time will tell.

This ratchet repair kit is sturdy, easy to install and high quality. The instructions are clear. Don't take shortcuts when you replace a ratchet head. In this case, you should heat the retaining screws as instructed (instead of manhandling them off). -- Buy a spare repair kit and you'll never be caught off guard when your ratchet head (inevitably) starts to jump.

Kit looks complete. I purchased the ratchet on sale on this site, I was concerened about theratchet plastic parts and since the repair kit was available I thought I'd pick one up. Ratchet seems more than adequate so I don't anticipate using the kit any time soon.
