Description

Wera Zyklop Metal 8003 B 3/8-inch Drive Ratchet
Designed for working in confined spaces.
Slimmer than conventional ratchets with smaller ratchet head, but longer handle length for more leverage.
Made from full metal - chrome molybdenum - for durabilty and the longest service life.
Push-through square drive to change direction. The push through action is precise and smooth and will not accidentally slip due to Wera's unique technology.
Also unique among push-through ratchets is the socket or accessory locking function for complete tool security.
The ultra fine 76 tooth action 4.7, yet immensely strong ratchet mechanism is achieved by a clever multi-tooth, double twin-pawl set design.
This tool is also ideal for dusty environments in addition to all general uses.
The "sculptured" handle gives added comfort during intensive or high torque use.

I am a HUGE fan of Wera tools, and will continue to purchase them, but this ratchet just misses the mark. I like the push through design, but from its first use it doesnt hold sockets/extensions very well and find myself routinely picking them up off the floor. Definitely buy Wera tools, but skip this one.

Excellent Ratchet

I use this ratchet every day at work. The length and weight are perfect, and now I don't have to worry about inadvertently changing the ratchet direction. Highly recommend to anyone who does mechanical work for a living.

Awesome Ratchet

Awesome little ratchet. The action is very smooth. The design of the handle makes it comfortable to use, and the small head design allows you to work with ease in tight spaces. I like the push through function that allows you to use the ratchet in one direction with confidence. Versus a switch lever which I always seem to flip in the wrong direction during use.

Feels great in the hand

One of the things I think that is often overlooked with ratchets is their ergonomics. This has quickly become my new favorite 3/8" drive ratchet. I set out on a mission recently and bought two nice German ratchets, two nice Japanese ratchets, and two nice US made ratchets all in 3/8" drive, and of the 6 this one came out on top. Really well made, everything feels "right" with it, both how it feels in the hand as well as the ratcheting mechanism itself.

This is true quality.

One less gear = stronger

Super thick ratchet, great material, superior quality to most everything I have seen. So far, I don't miss the quick select, and prefer the stronger mechanism on these.

The handle on these are super robust, and finish is awesome. Far thicker than most ratchets. The mechanism is awesome, I was worried I'd miss the quick select, but don't so far.

Thin design, good handle feel, precise

I picked this up for a medium-length ratchet for those tight to reach spots. The socket play is minimal and the ratcheting mechanism works well so far. I can't say I have any complaints. The head design is one of the, if not the smallest 3/8 ratchet heads I've seen.
