Wera 050215 Male 1/4" Hex to Male 3/8" Square Drive Power Tool Adaptor - 50mm

I bought this to go along side the 1/4‚" hex to 1/4‚" square adapter from Wera that I also have. Well this adapter seems well built just like it's smaller sibling from the same maker, the Retaining pin on this adapter sticks out much further than any other adapter I have ever seen. The extra long pin makes it very hard to fit the square and into any of the sockets that I have, including those from Wera. On the other hand it is too easy to pull the adapter off of the socket. I don't have any of these problems with the equivalent adapter from Felo. I will need to take a file to the pointlessly long retaining pin to see if I can make this easier to use. The smaller adapter from Wera for 1/4‚" sockets works much better.I was hoping that this adapter would be just as good as that one, but I guess now I know.

I needed adapters and I have been impressed with WERA tools so I ordered. It met my expectation.

We've purchased 6 of these, and the only problem we've had is keeping them from walking off. They are superior to the other adaptors I've bought in the past.
