This has been used hundreds of times for my handyman work. It functions just as well as it did new. The pop-out telescoping feature has come in handy many times. It feels a little loose, but the robustness speaks for itself.

Holds onto bits tightly, a nifty gadget.

Locks the bits in place, no wobble at all. The extendable shaft is a nice feature and very solid feeling. It is possible to launch the shaft if you push down the collar far enough. Not really something that you would do accidentally, but it is possible. Still a very nice tool.

When I first saw the handle design I thought it was stupid. But when it arrived and I picked it up for the first time, it all made perfect sense. The tolerances are relatively tight and the bit holder holds bits nice and tight. One thing that could be improved would be the detent to allow the sliding extension to retract again could be a bit smoother. However it's largely improved by just spraying WD40 in it and letting it sit overnight. All in all a good tool

This handle checks all of the boxes. Great grip, check. Excellent bit holder, check. Extendable, check. Magnetic, check.

You really have to hold a Wera handle to appreciate how good the ergonomics. My son was jealous when I received mine, so he got one in his Christmas stocking.
