Wera 056490 Tool-Check Plus Bit Ratchet Set with Sockets - Metric

Purchased this to add to my motorcycle (BMW R1250GSA) toolkit. It's metric and has everything I might need while on the road. Great kit!

This is an outstanding set of hand tools that covers nearly all of my daily needs. It's become part of my everyday carry, and aside from situations that require a power tool, it handles just about everything—saving me from lugging around a bulky tool set. The bits and sockets are top-notch in terms of quality, and the handle is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. A compact, reliable, and well-designed kit.

The Tool-Check Plus kit lives up to the hype. It's small, light, easily carried in a bag or on a motorcycle or scooter. It's high quality. And it'll get in places where a 1/4" socket and bit set with a full size ratchet just won't fit. And if you check YouTube, you'll find loads of 3D printer files that allow you to mod the plastic case to your heart's content.

A must in anyone tool box

It's perfect for my motorcycle , compact , quality tools , great for my road tool kit

For context I am a Marine Electrician, essentially industrial an electrician but I work on ships. This is a high quality convenience tool, i.e. put it in your back pocket and go. It will not replace your 90 piece deep socket set or your electronic ESD tweezer set but I'd categorize this as being able to handle 70-80% of all your easy to intermediate taskings. I have used this little guy on everything ranging from changing weather deck lighting fixtures, to replacing ckt cards, to rebuilding motor controller contacts, and of course my own personal vehicles. I do believe customizing what sockets and bits that are on the kit will add to the variety of work that one would be able to complete with this and I will likely change out a few things on mine in the future. I do not normally write reviews but I do love this thing.

Great, quality made tool kit. Details to weight and materials designed to create this wonderful tool. This tool part of my specialty collection that I use from time to time. My brother keeps asking to see it to the point that I decided to buy one for him as a gift. He's a happy man now.

Great tools with excellent quality. Love the fit and finish. Very good pack for keeping close by

Well designed and thought out kit. Everything looks like typical excellent Wera quality in a neat and handy package this should be a great time saver at work.

Extremely versatile metric tool s. Lots of choices in one set!

The quality of the tools, and even the holder is exceptional. It is nice to find such quality these days, and not have to buy the junk on A*****

Growing up my dad owned a hardware store and he was particular about the brands he carried and was a handy guy in his own right. He would have loved Wera tools in general for the innovative designs and the highest quality manufacturing. Having worked for him as a kid I share his standards and this compact Wera ratchet bit & socket set is pretty remarkable. You could easily carry this kit in the glove box of your car or stow it on a boat, motorcycle or ATV and have a useful set of tools to make emergency repairs. Everything fits into a tidy package and all of the components are top shelf. The Tool-Check Plus is a great value considering what you're getting.

Excellent compact kit, easy for travel quick access when you need them. Highly recommend this kit.

This is a great tool to have. I am a traveling tech and this is great to throw in my tool case. I highly recommend it.

Terrific and beautifully made multipurpose do-everything tool. You will love it

I've got two of these one imperial and one metric. I'm always finding uses for this. Stick it in my back pocket and use it to do most basic tasks. Awesome package.

Amount of bits is a win, size of bit holder & ratchet for small for comfort & may pose dropping propensity, efficacy to be determined.

I've found a ton of uses for it in the couple of weeks I've had it. Used it when fixing my car, around the house, etc. great little kit!

I have the main set. I was wondering if I could get the driver handle and holder to add to it. It looks like it will snap on. Thank you.

Agree with Skyy's comments. Value engineering at play.

Buyer beware! This version of the Tool Check Plus is the el'cheapo Covid manufacturing edition. The retaining clip metal of the ratchet is not the same material as before, and I've seen 2 experience more rust than 2 others I've owned for years. Also, the case flops open very easily. This is very risk for bits to fall out on their own. The original had a latching mechanism that kept the bits tucked away safe.

I highly recommend this product, but absolutely not this version!

First the pluses. Very high quality set. The quality of the bits, sockets, and ratchet is what you would expect from a Wera set. Very well packaged, the bits will not go flying if you drop it. The sockets have thin walls to fit into tight places.

The only negative is the odd choice of bits. You get 11 Phillips head options and one flat head option. You only get five Allen head bits: 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. I would have known that if I have paid more attention to the description. Again the bits are very nice. I will probably trade out some bits with another set to better fit what I need for my motorcycle.

Very useful for tight spaces and a slim case for carrying regularly. Makes a great everyday carry tool or even just for keeping in a tool box

Wera is awesome, would be perfect but the mechanism for folding down the top is sneaky but after the first time.

Great portable set that can accomplish many common tasks. I have several of these sets, one to keep in each vehicle and another in my electrical work bag. Saves a lot of space and works in a pinch.

Nice kit

This is a very nice quality for a handy tool. Very close to the superb German quality, this tool is made in the Czech Republic, a German neighbor.

Excellent product to just throw in the truck or backpack and keep on hand at all times. Extremely versatile!

Bought this set for a friend who helps work on my car. Ended up using it the day I gave it to him to get to a hard to reach area. So i obviously had to get my own. Perfect set!

I love this tool
It's in my bag everywhere I go

Really high quality set of tools.
