#2 Phillips Bit

Strongest bit for impact use. Not the "God" bit but takes abuse in stride. If you are tired of constantly changing bits try this one.

Tough but no Diamonds

There is absolutely no diamond coating as far as I can tell, so the line about them aiding grip is total BS. Still, they wear longer than Dewalt impact bits and I haven't broken one yet.

Great fit but short life

I was using milwaukee shockwave bits but wasn't satisfied with the fit, how much they deformed and how much wobble was in the shaft. These wera bits are made to tight tolerances and fit in stainless hardware very well. They spin true in the chuck, no wobble. My only gripe is that they explode a lot sooner than the milwaukees. I deal with a lot of stainless fasteners stuck in corroded aluminum and my M18 and M12 impacts will kill these bits after a couple hundred uses. The upside is that the tips keep their shape to the very end and don't destroy screws. I might buy more in the future but only after testing out some wiha bits too.

Does the job

I do not drive screws all day for a living. However, I drive screws a lot, and when I have to use Phillips instead of Torx or Square, I prefer these bits because they last a long time, and they help the screws last a long time. - - I can fantasize about bits where the shank is HVOF sprayed with 15 microns of nickel alloy 625 for corrosion resistance and the tip is a micro-roughened diamond - nanocrystalline SiC composite, but the best bits I can actually buy are these.

Great bits.

I use more Pozidriv and 1/4" hex than Philips, but it is always good to have decent bits around "just in case", and these fir that bill.

I Like It

I have been using this bit since last week, and I really like it. Screwed around 1.000 different kind of screws with impact drivers and it seems very good. Well designed, strong, perfect fit, etc. It is early to say this is the best power bit what I have ever had, since I've used it for a short period of time, but this one is my favorite 2" bit so far. - Note: The diamond powder tearing off quickly, but I am giving 5 stars because of everything else is outstanding with this bit.

heavy useage

We repair equipment all day long, so far its been a week and now damage to the bit or the screws. Due to excellent fitment.

Great grip

When I received the bit, I thought they sent me the wrong one! I looked at it and said, "where is the diamond?" Then I put it under a microscope and then I could see. It is a very fine diamond dust that is vacum brazed onto the tip. Why so fine? Big pieces break off. I put the bit in my Bosch 18 volt impact or and ran 30-3 inch screws as far as they would go into a seasoned yellow pine board. The bit performed extremely well! The diamond particles gripped the screw head and kept the bit from slipping. Bits start to strip out when they slip even a little. (1/1000s inch). It moves the metal around on the tip. It does not happen with this bit! (Eventually the diamond coating will wear out, but it lasted very well in my testing. I also tried the terminator bit. It was good steel, but the diamond Impaktor bit blew it away. These are EXPENSIVE, but if you have the money, they are great.)

Great bit

The Wera bits work great. I have been using this one the past few weeks. Wanted to give it a try, I do not see much difference, I do not have a impact drive tho, so that could be the difference.
