This bit holder has a small metal wire/spring ring inside of it, which "clicks in" the bit inside the holder and physically prevents the bit from falling out. - - This metal spring works well and adds additional hold to the bit if all of your bits are regular (non-impact bits). BUT - IF YOU INSERT ANY IMPACT BITS, THEY WILL GET STUCK! because spring will go around the portion of impact bit which is thinner (to absorb impact drill hits) - and you will NOT be able to take out that bit even with pliers. I had to suffer with it for 30 minutes, and use a small knife to pull the spring out of the groves and take out the Wera Impaktor #2 bit which i plugged in. The other kind of bits (regular, non impact bits) work well because they have even cylinder shape, and ring doesn't get jammed. - - Luckily, this metal wire can easily be removed out of the bit holder, so you can use any kind of bits, including impact bits. I wouldn't buy it again.

If you hate having your bit fall out after drilling or it gets stuck on the screw head itself when impacting. This bit totally solves that problem and if you think about it. It is pretty compact. - - The magic ring keeps the bit in good but maybe a little bit too good. Overall great quality and a great asset.

These bits are of high quality and will outlast your usual bits that you get from the store.
